Not an expert by any means, but 3 things I would have done differently.
1. Different time of day ("golden hour") to avoid the harsh shadows
2. Clone out the parking signs
3. not so much fill in post to avoid the halos. (might not need it if following suggestion #1)
Also the building in the background is a little distracting, not sure the best way to deal with that one though.
Did you try to sharpen the photo in photoshop? If so, you overdid it quite a bit. If not, then as stated before try to avoid whatever time of day you took the photo.
There are many ways to sharpen a photo, and not all of them use the UnSharp Mask (USM) sharpening tool.
One often overlooked is adjusting the mid-tone contrast.
Sharpening is all about manageing the size of sharpening halos, and is usually best done is several steps: Capture sharpening, Local sharpening, Output sharpening.
