Need some prop ideas for an upcoming birthday photo shoot

I need some help with an upcoming birthday shoot I have.
She's going to be turning 19 I believe and came to for a photo shoot.

We already agreed on some balloons and confetti but I can't think of anything else I we can use in the shoot. (Prop-wise)

Help?

I can't think of much for someone in that age range other than store bought party decorations - will there be a small table nearby where you could set up some party paper plates and cups or table decorations? Or maybe some summertime décor of some sort?

For a young woman what about maybe some flowers? inexpensive artificial ones might do. Does she have any favorite color?

Maybe try looking at magazines or websites geared to that age for some ideas of what's popular.

Well maybe take 10 seconds out of your life and ask her what she's into, what her hobbies are - what she enjoys doing and base your prop set on that.

You should have way more ideas than you could possibly use.

But as mentioned, talk to her some more because her personality is what should drive what props you use.

Asking HER what she would like is really the best answer. Are you sure she even wants it to be a birthday-themed shoot? Since she's turning 19, I could see the possibility that she may just want pictures, ON her birthday, but not necessarily birthday related.

If she does want some bday-theme photos, balloons and confetti are a good start. What about a couple or three nicely wrapped gift packages? A big, pretty bow.
A cake with candles, or maybe more understated, a single cupcake and a candle.
