Need Tri/Monpod & Lens Hood Help!

I need a decent setup of both a Tripod and Monopod that are easy to swap the camera from one another easily. From searching around on the forum it seems as if everyone likes Manfrotto/Bogen tripods. Trying to figure out what I needed/wanted I'm fustrated since I don't know the differences between models etc. Will be looking on the cheap end of their tripods as it looks like I can get both for around $150 or so. Suggestions are open...please help!

I also need a flowered lens hood for a Tamron AF75-300mm lens. Not sure which ones fit?!?!? AF75-300mm F/4-5.6 LD; Tamron USA, Inc.

For the tripod/monopod just get the tripod legs and the monopod and the same head for both of them that have a quick release plate. This wasy the camera will be easily switchable.
