Need tripod sale advice ASAP (only have like 30 minutes left)!

Hey everyone, I have been looking around for a while for a tripod for my d3000 (and 70-300 at some times) so that i can get one during the holidays but I just found a really good black friday sale that I think is to good to be true, Its amazon so i know it isn;t a sham but is the tripod really worth what there selling it for, heres the deal http://www.amazon.com/Benro-Tripod-Tenba-Messenger-Bag/dp/B004FPZ3GM . it end in forty minutes so I need advice asap. I know it isn't a known tripod brand but the deal looks amazing. Is it worth it for me to get it. As i said it needs to support atleast my d3000 and 70-300 VC, and I really don't want to get it if its junk. Please tell me what you think asap, thanks so much, ethan. Seems reasonable for $65. Tripod holds eight pounds, only goers to 58 inches high, so it's rather a short tripod, and not "especially" small when folded at 24 inches or so when compacted.These days $65 is not much money. The thing is--do you WANT the items? do you NEED them? Or just looking for a "deal"?

I'd say go for it. The tripod looks fairly good, and will do fine for your needs. I don't know much about the bag. Benro is a known name, btw. It's just not Manfrotto or Gitzo, etc.

A member just bought that today. They obviously haven't received it yet but I would go for it. The bag is awesome and holds a lot.

Whether or not it is a problem is a decision you will have to make. Can you deal with your camera being smaller than you? If so, then it's not a problem. Remember that your camera will add another 3-5" ontop of that height. And the head should as well. So, if the head brings it to 60", the camera wil bring it to 64-65". Now, if the tripod PLUS head is only 58", it's definitely alot shorter than you, and it's up to you if you mind bending down to look through it.

You should really avoid extending the center column of a tripod whenever possible. Sometimes it's not possible, but extending the center column adds a whole new level of vibration up to the camera since it's only supported at the bottom. Some of the better tripods, Really Right Stuff for example, don't even have a center column.
