Neighbors Flowers

Canon 550D with 100mm/f2.8 Macro USM lens. Taken in diffused (overcast) light at neighbors' garden.

First, Solitary Daisy. Terrific specimen. Shows change in entropy from chaotic background to low entropy flower center.
Second, these are not blueberries but some other kind of blue ones. Paid more attention to background than berries when taking it.
Third, Liked the top-to-bottom immature to mature buds structure.
Forth, Another top-to-bottom maturity.

My skills have never risen to a profitable level! If I work really hard I might be a good amature...

Thanks. I have always seen macrophotography as being about the background, not so much the subject. For 1, 2 and 4 I spent most of the time getting the background right. For 2 notice how the browns form a kind of halo that frames the berries. For 4, notice the mainly horz background pattern compared to the vertical flower - also slightly more brighter and elaborate background at top than bottom directing the eye to the upper half, I actually moved the tripod around the flower looking for the best background. Subtle effects but I think they help the images.

This one I ultimately rejected due to not being able to tame the harsh direct sunlight. Still, I keep it around becuase I like the background - looks like it is painted, not photographed.
