I'd acquired a like new XA, along with the A11 flash, a couple of weeks ago and drove the 20 miles to our local County Seat's park to run a quick roll of Fujifilm Superia Xtra400 through it. It was an absolutely miserable day, with no one else around. The camera is capable of excellent photos. I'd read to expect vignetting/corner softening

at f2.8, but the one shot I took at that setting was normal....the others were shot at f5.6.

Very nice little camera, so compact and yet still capable of great pictures - good find being complete with the flash!
 
They were sweet cameras. Recall tons of material online re: care and feeding. Shoot 'em till they break!
 
That is a great pocket camera. I liked having aperture control ... the Stylus was a great future version, though it was fully automatic.
