NEW CAMERA coming this WEDNESDAY.....

Well I finally saved my money (ok my husband helped too) to buy my first DSLR. Yeap, I will be receiving in the mail on Wednesday my new Canon Rebel XTI!!!!! I got the camera from Amazon.com with the starter lens kit for $750.

I have read tons of reviews about the Canon Rebel XT (350D) which I was planning on buying until TODAY. I went to Best Buy today and played with the 350D and noticed how small the LCD screen was. I really didn't like that at all. So then I checked out the Nikon 40 and the 70 which were really nice cameras but I really didn't want to buy a Nikon (sorry ). I kept looking and found the XTI and fell IN LOVE with it. I am just so happy that I actually went to the store to try out the camera before I bought it. I know now that I made the right decision with the XTI.

I want to thank everyone here. If I wouldn't of found this forum almost 10 months ago I probably would still be using my 4mp Kodak p&s. LOL!

The Nikons have a nicer shutter sound than the Canon XT and XTi. The Canons are more like a *click SQUEEK!* where the Nikons are more of a throaty *CLA-DUNK*

Other than that, Canon is better in every way. :greenpbl:
