Picked up my replacement D40 and had to try it on something on the way home!
This is the "New Cut" or Relief Channel - the last part of the grand design of draining the Fens - but took a few hundred years to get round to completing it! When I first saw it 40+ years ago it was a clay scar of a trench without any vegetation - it has matured, just like me!
