new dslr and cold tempreatures

probly a very stupid question,but i just got a nikon d3000, wanting to get out and start taking mad pictures with it but the temp in ohio is freezin...about 10 degrees right now...would taking the camera from the nice warm house to the cold air muff it up in any way?..dont want to ruin it before i get to completly enjoy it

There was actually a thread or two on this today. The main thing to be concerned about is keeping the battery warm. The camera should work fine.
