Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Well, I purchased my very first external flash today. Next step is to read the manual but I can already tell I'm going to love it.

I watched videos on manually controlling this flash (Canon 580EX II) but I'm afraid to touch anything with company coming. They want their pictures taken with the baby bunny. I did however put the flash on 80mm. (Using the 85mm lens) I had Brian stand in the sun. I'll be using shade but I wanted to make sure it wasn't way too hot. The background is darker and the bunny is blown out.

I've got another issue too! When viewing photos after they come out of LR I usually click on Windows Picture and Fax Viewer to do a quick preview. Everything looks good but then when I load them in my cpanel it is darkening the photos. It just started happening two nights ago. I don't know if I've messed something up or what! :er:

Not sure what I've done. :meh: It's looks good when I open in Windows & LR but completely different in PSP and loaded on the internet.

I figured out the color issue. I had switched the settings in LR to ProphotoRGB. When I switched put it back to sRGB my photos are back to the correct color. One issue down...

Not that anyone here apparently gives a hoot, but everything went pretty good today. (Unedited photo using flash)

I see the pics, and they look good. I just got an external flash too (Nikon SB700) and I'm in love with. I however leave it in TTL mode all the time, I do enjoy using it off camera with my D80. Glad to hear your enjoying it. Have fun.

Yeah you blew the bunny :P

That man looks all rough and tough but then you scroll down and he's holding a little baby rabbit lol :)

Have fun with your new flash!!!

WOW! I always look at the eyes when it comes to Human subject (Portraits et al....) I love this with the emotion the kid have on this photo... I really really like this!

I did blow the bunny in the sun (LOL) but it was fine in the shade with the boy. Brian's forehead was also slightly overexposed. Once out of the direct sun the flash did well. And Miss Cream, he may look rough but he's a big baby.

Thanks Sharfy... I took his photos once before and every picture his eye sockets were dark. The mom wanted photos with the bunny so I was hoping the flash would help. It made a huge difference with him. The flash was a worthy investment and I'm sure it will be great once I learn how to control it better.

Another favorite from yesterday:

That last pic is great! She looks totally comfortable in front of the camera, and makes an immediate connection with the viewer.

Thanks Bitter...she was very comfortable! I wish everyone was like her.
