New lens for 2019, what would you like?

I was wondering, with all the choices on the market, what would be a lens, that does not exist yet, you would like to see in 2019?
Ofcourse you can dreams of all crazy stuff, but think what is realistically possible. And why?

For me, as a DX user,
This would be a dream to have:
10-24mm lens f/2.4 - f/5 DX

Ofcourse all the way f/2.4 would be better, but I want to keep it more compact and possible at a reasonable price (what dx stands for imo). Also, I find that the f/2.4 at 10mm would open possibilities for night photography, stars, northernlights,... And the further zoom up to 24 adds versatility when shooting landscapes without the need of switching lenses.

A 2nd lens would be:
24-60mm f/2 DX/VR (or f/1.8 if possible)

Sigma has proven it is possible to make decent zoom lenses for DX, like the 18-35 and the 50-100 f/1.8.
But I find that the gap 35-50 is forgotten and I would love that gap!
A 24-60mm f/2 would be like a 36-90mm with a f/2.8 DOF equivalent on FX, and it is perfect from Street photography to portraits.

However, this year I hope to get myself a good set of NiSi Filters before allowing my GAS to let me look at another lens, unless there is an insane deal to be had...

The problem is not that a lens doesn't exist, it more than likely does.... it's a matter of knowing which one it is that is going to render your artistic vision.

I am currently waiting on a Sigma 150 to 600 sports zoom lens that I ordered last week. My wife has the Canon 200 to 400 zoom and she loves it. We both use a Canon 7d mark iv and a Canon 5d Mark iii.

For one that does not exist, FX 14-50 1.8

Likely my next lens will be a Tamron 15-30 G2. I am also considering a fast 35mm.

I just received my 150 to 600 Sports lens. It has a lot more bells and whistles than my regular 150 to 600 lens has. I also got a 2X teleconverter.

Nikon Pro grade DX 40-160mm f/2.8 VR with GOOD optics, at less than $1,400. I would settle for a bit shorter 40-140/2.8, to bring the zoom ratio down to 3.5:1, and lower the cost a bit. This would be my DX replacement of the FX 70-200/2.8 VR. The 70-200 on a DX body is too long on the short end. The DX equivalent of 70mm is 47mm, then go a bit wider to 40mm.

Nikon FX 24-120mm f/4 VR, with improved optics to the level of the 70-200/4. Then I don't have to buy the 24-70/2.8.

Nikon Pro grade 24-200mm f/4 VR. Olympus m4/3 have their 12-100mm f/4 pro zoom, so why not a Nikon FX equivalent That would replace both the 24-70 and 70-200 lenses in many situations. Yeah a pro grade FX 8:1 zoom is goina be tuff to do.

For all three zooms, do it with an internal zoom, so the zoom ring is smooth and light, like the 70-200/4.
Or for an extending zoom, a 180 degree throw zoom ring, rather than the common 90 degree throw zoom ring, so the effort to turn the zoom ring is low. I HATE having to use my arm to turn the zoom ring, when the zoom ring is too tight to easily turn with my fingers.

Why, more affordable uber lenses like that Voigtländer Nokton 50mm f1.2 VM from last year would of course always be appreciated.

Unfortunately it doesnt look like Voigtländer will do more Nikon F lenses any time soon.

And Nikon most recently really produced a LOT of superflous garbage. Well, these lenses sell, so who can blame them.

Updated versions of the 6mm and 2000mm lenses (just because my first Nikon lens brochure had those lenses).

I was going to say a similar thing as well.
I am still sticking with dx at this moment, and one of the reasons is that the mirrorless cameras that are out are great, but with those big heavy lenses, the point of going lower in size/weight is lost.They should introduce a couple of pancake lenses for them.

Lenses are like fishing shirts you can never have to many (old Florida saying). Anyway, I just received by 2019 lens, a Tokina 11-16 DXII. Now I'm set for lenses, I just need a few more fishing shirts.
