I have the d70, and personally, I would stick with that (vs. the d50). I use those max shutter speeds and I also use the DOF button. That thing has saved me 1000 times on getting my landscape pictures right!

Also, I imagine the price will drop on the d70, not d70s, in the next few months. Who knows, all of them should be awesome cameras!

a new mode for photographing children (strange :meh: ).

I found out what's going on with this mode. Nikon says it improved the sensor so that we will be able to get proper skin colour of toddler and babies, so it won't turn out so ping.. just natural, as it is.
To be honest I never noticed any difference in children skin colour in d70 but it might be another interesting feature.
