Where is this "sidebar"?

Maybe your screen doesn't look like mine, so I've made a screen shot of a portion of my screen.

I think you have a good eye and I liked the layout and composition of pretty much all of the photos. However, a number of them seemed to be slightly out of focus.

The new site renders fairly dynamically. It may be that you're on a screen that's small, and the new site software is declining to render the gallery link.

Click the user name, and in the popup click Profile

On the profile there ought to be a tab labelled Photos, click that
