Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
It simply cannot "help" a lot of the prints I have from years ago. Some I don't even know who took the shot! However, I'm having FUN scanning hundreds of old photos into my computer and having electronic copies of them!

In the flesh........General Tommy Franks........

He was the speaker at wife's daughter's high school graduation, back in 2006 I think. Nicest guy you'd ever want to meet! Of course, I'm a little better looking, but he took it in stride and never mentioned it. Nice man!

Tommy Ray Franks (born 17 June 1945) is a retired general in the United States Army. His last Army post was as the Commander of the U.S. Central Command, overseeing U.S. military operations in a 25-country region, including the Middle East. Franks succeeded General Anthony Zinni to this position on 6 July 2000 and served until his retirement on 7 July 2003.

Franks was the U.S. general leading the attack on the Taliban in Afghanistan in response to the 11 September attacks on the World Trade Center and The Pentagon in 2001. He also led the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.

I wonder if it`s possible to do anything to improve a out of focus scanned photo.

John.

If it's so much fun, how would you like to scan mine for me?

That's what makes it so much fun.......... theyre not yours lol!!!'

And no, I don't know how you would be able to fix out-of-focus in software. I can 'kind of' make it look better in post with contrast and unsharp mask, but only slightly. Out-of-focus or subject or camera movement is almost impossible to correct, at least for me.

Instead of starting another thread, I'll post some more images to this one. Most of these are 10-20 years old, and I see that most are out-of-focus and there is no composition at all! I believe most were on some kind of point-and-shoot, long since lost or thrown away. The color-fixer on the scanner can do only so much. I don't mind any c&c as to what I might do when scanning and any pp tips.

I snapped a LOT of these old barns at some point. The colors look way off and all are not very sharp. And what kind of framing is that?! lol!!
