Dragonflies creep me out when theyre buzzing around my head. But the pics you took look great. What camera/lens did you use?

I shoot with a Nikon D60 and just recently invested in a sigma 70-300 mm - it's the bottom of the range for lenses, but honestly I'm pretty happy with the images I'm shooting with it. I'm new to the idea of 'macro' and the idea of being able to get better shots once I get a better lens, really appeals to me. I also hope to upgrade my camera body - it was purchased 3 years back for taking photos of my darlings (children). Anyway, I see you're a Noob.....what do you shoot with?

I love the colour of dragons flys I really find them interesting .......... I liked my D60 except for the fact I couldn't see my settings in the day time ...went up to the D90 ...but now I think I'd have the D7000 and if I were shooting macro and wanted a dedicated lens ...well depending on budget ...cheapo way out ...tubes ...and a 5mm lens ... little excitement ...60mm macro by Nikon ... then if I want a dule roll lens (protraits and marco's ) 90mm Tamron ....or ...well I jumped in up to my neck and went with the Bugma ..the 150mm sigma ...well built and great for macro or short telephoto lens .......
