So I recently picked up a 400mm 5.6 canon lens. I have always wanted to shoot more wildlife but my cheap 300mm kit lens was awful and my 70-200 just wasn't long enough. Anyways I have been out 2 times now. Here are a couple shots from the last trip. I have a nice Cardinal in flight but will not upload.
Thanks in advance!

Ah, classic lens.
Now you are going down the endless path of a wildlife photographer and their glass.

haha I see many pricey setups walking around these areas. Its a dangerous road to go down!
Well thanks guys. Its fun so far. I know there is much to learn and getting tips in the field.

Welcome.
Nice set.

The 400 5.6 is in my opinion the best lens for the money that Canon makes.

Nice pics, looking forward to seeing more of them. Good choice on the lens, btw.

Potential causes:

Raw file (this site does not handle Raw files)
File too large (Yes, sometimes people attach really large files, but it's not optimal)

I usually resize before attaching the file.

Also, would you please hit the "full size" button after the files are attached? Thanks.

Also, when posting multiple images, please assign numbers to them, in case we want to talk about a certain image.

I like the hummingbird shot.

I used to live in Scottsdale and miss the desert every day.
