Do you have problems with reading comprehension??? It would seem so. Why not RE-READ MY statement, which concludes with ,"It's like any complicated, sophisticated, intricate mechanical device from the days of yore--it demands periodic tune-ups and regular maintaining." Your post seems like you didn't even read what was said, but instead jumped to the defense of a 50+ year old mechanical design that, as I wrote "demands
periodic tune-ups and regular maintaining." Your self-serving reply was kind of annoying to me.

There is no problem with my reading comprehension. My reply was neither self serving nor a personal jab, in fact your reply says more to your insecurities than anything else, I fear. I fact, today's mechanical cameras require the same care as those of "yore". Your Bessa R3 or your Bronicas require the same amount of attention. I can remember when Bronicas were a current product and their reputation was less than stellar, with bodies and backs failing regularly. I'm not trying to denigrate anybody elses equipment whatsoever, just pointing out that each brand has/had it's idiosyncrasies to be overcome.

That attitude (and many others like you) are a large part of the reason I rarely bother replying here. I offered a point of view that agreed with yours, backed by a long history of working with the camera in question and somehow, you find it irrelevant and self serving.

Personally, I could care less about it and was offering my opinion. I make my living with my equipment, and have been for a lot longer than many on this board have been alive. Offering advice from the perspective of somebody who uses the cameras in question regularly to me seems far more relevant than somebody who hasn't. This "instant expert" attitude (which you have even written about on your blog) about a camera you have little knowledge of is not all that different than the people you denigrate on your blog, the hypocrisy is evident.
