newbie, C&C appresh

Got a D40 around October (beside the point, that's all in my intro thread). Been at it for a bit, hoping to get some C&C on anything you want on my flickr really, but looking at these:

for the three B&W's, method C&C appreciated as well. I haven't been doing B&W for long, but I do like it. Hoping to get more experience with it.

You need to work on subject composition. My favorite was the first image because of the nice range of oranges you have. Most of your subjects aren't the most interesting.

I took at look at your flickr, and some of your stronger images you should have posted were "Dog Day Afternoon," "Pink Skies," and "Wide". Those were good, I can tell you have a good sense of color and value with some of your landscape images.

I think you should start working on your subjects more, maybe take more photos of your dog, you had some good ones. I take photos of my dog all the time, its easy and he is always cool with it.

I'll try. I like to do shots of riding, but the only place worth going for that is the skatepark. I ride bikes myself, but not park. Nobody around me rides good street for shots, and my flash game is non-existant.

(When I get home I'm going to bring that in to CS3 and edit out the lines. I'm up at the beach and my flashdrive with my shots is at home crap.)
