Interesting shot. I would have stopped down a little, maybe f/8 to keep the whole subject in focus. Also might have upped the exposure 1/3 stop.

Not sure what the subject is intended to be here, but the thing that grabs my attention the most is the single ant contrasted against the yellow, but it's out of focus. I agree that a smaller aperture would have helped this shot a lot.
