Hey guys!
I joined this forum a few weeks ago, but just got around to posting my introduction. There is so much useful information on this forum which is why I was drawn to it instantly.
Anyway, my name is Heather. I was born and raised in New Jersey. Lived there for 19 years and then moved to Georgia to go to school and eventually got married. I have been into photography since elementary, but didn't get real "serious" until about middle school. I started on a 35mm film camera and then eventually purchased me a Nikon FM10. I took four years of photography classes in high school. These were black and white film photography classes, so we did everything ourselves. I think it really is the best way to learn photography. You are able to pick up and understand the terminology a lot more when you start off with film. I really do miss having access to a dark room, but hey.. got to embrace change.. I guess? lol

Nothing extravagant. Just sort of a portfolio, so people can see my work and if they want me to take photos of them.. they usually are just friends or family. No strangers yet lol. Not really doing it as a business. I did have a Canon Rebel T1i and then switched to a Canon 60D. I had the 50mm f/1.4, 50mm f/1.8, the kit lenses, the Canon Speedlite 430EX II, and a lot more. I sold everything because I started getting frustrated with all the lenses I wanted I couldn't afford. To make a long story short... I now have the Panasonic Lumix GF1 with the 20mm f/1.7 pancake lens. Great camera and it will just have to do for right now.
