Why can't I get the nice red I see with my eyes. I did a spot exposure on the brightest part of the sky.

Meter on the red and bracket your shots. Take 10 or so if you really like the shot.

Hi Krem,

I couldn't see it either. Is your Pbase gallery one of the free ones or are you a member? If it's the free version, they will not let you link your images (trust me i was there just recently).

I just went over to phototalk.net, free gallery, 20mb of space, link your images into here, only downside is you can only upload 3 images per day if not a member.

I'm not pro, but my GUESS would be that your meter is too good at what it does. It lets the right amount of light in, which washes out the red and shows natural blue colors.
