newbie with questions!

hello all. i'm new here and i just had a question that hopefully you all can help me with. currently shooting with a canon 7D and mainly do engagement pics and some weddings for fun (nothing pro). i'm wanting to get a 70-200 lens and am having trouble decide between the canon 70-200L f4 and the tokina 70-200 2.8 (the 70-200L2.8 is way out of my price range right now). i have never shot with a tokina and have some with the canon f4. can anyone provide me with some insight?

i was thinking the L for outdoor shots and then would switch over to my 50 1.8 and 100L IS for the indoor stuff. TIA
