Very nice pictures and mostly in my engineering eyes, very interesting subject! Never heard of transporter bridge before. There is probably none in Canada.
Only comment would be on #2, the sky seems a little blown out. I would be nice to get a blue sky. Other than that great pictures!

Thanks. They are an interesting construction. There are three in the UK although only two are in regular use. The cars drive onto the gondola suspended by cables and the gondola is then moved across the river. The charge is £1 per journey.

It is such a curiosity that I like to ride it whenever I get to Newport, although this morning was a bit too cold for me. I just got back in the car and went and got an egg and bacon roll and a cup of tea indoors.
