Niagara Escarpment in Autumn

We took a drive down to the city yesterday to drop off our oldest back to college. Most of our leaves up home have fallen now but down south it is still in it's full autumn glory! I took this as we passed part of the Niagara Escarpment. It was a dreary rainy day so I cut the sky out since it was only a big grey blob.

Nice warmth with the fall foliage but it's a bit fuzzy due to the moving car.

No doubt the landscape will be much changed next week.

Nice image ...you should have stopped .....but you know that now. Since it is soft work with what you have and make the photo painterly and soft....the image is too nice not to.

Thanks guys, I like the fuzziness of the foliage in this shot but perhaps it is too "in between" for most's taste. Unfortunately we were on the 401 Highway going 100+km/hr so stopping was not an option but it was kinda funny, we were in the middle lane and there was a pickup truck coming up in the outside lane, he saw me shooting and slowed to stay out of the shot lol
As for turning it into a painting, if you are referring to my other images that are slow shutter speed shots those are shot to create the effect, it isn't added after so while I could edit this to have more of it it almost feels like cheating

Well, I'm giving you brownie points for trying and taking the shot. I see lots of really nice photographic opportunities when I'm on the road, but usually, I'm driving somewhere on a schedule, and there is no easy (or safe) place to stop. Recently I witnessed a really dramatic and gorgeous sunset, but by the time I worked my way out of the traffic and to a location which would have allowed a decent picture, it was all gone. Can be frustrating.
