Me thinks it was a bit too dark in general for foreground stuff to show well. But hey it got me out of the house and into the freezing cold/darkness.

I really like the second one. I like the silhouetted trees and the way the road leads to the distant yellow lights of some sort of structure. I like the fact that I don't know what the structure is and so I can leave what it is to my imagination. I also like the stars and the sky and the mix of colors that blend from cloud to sky. It's really a nice picture to look at.

I wonder, did you consider painting the shed with light? It seems like there is a lot of stuff to the left of the shed that would make the photo messy if you had painted it with light. Almost like it's better that you can't make out what is surrounding the shed. I was just curious.

Thanks. Yeah the shed was pretty ****ty. I did get some light on it from the parking lights on my car since I just pulled to the side of the road for the shot.

I like both, but the second one is the winner in my book (I think it's due to seeing more light in the sky). Anyway, great job.

I think you're in New England too right? Supposed to be very clear tonight, I'll be heading to the seacoast I believe. The 2nd one I like, as far as lightpainting with your headlights...you'll for sure end up blowing out your foreground with insane highlights. At iso3200 2.8 30s even one or 2 seconds from a regular flashlight is usually too much

Yeah I am up in Maine. Far from the coast tho.

I wan't light painting on purpose, it was by accident.
