Well I'm there with the DSLR purchase, I just spent £24 on dev for two films and I do 2-4 month, they payment on the Nikon kit is only £35/month and I get the Vat back, anyway.

Money is an issue, I would like get the D80 as a min but this means I need to get it with kit lens.

I know you will say 'spend on the lens get quality' but I also need some flexibility, I use a 35-70 now and its too small. Althought the f stop isn't big enough at 3.5 or 4. I suspect the abilty to swap the iso setting will mean this is less of a problems.

I believe the 18-135 is fairly standard but the 18-200 is a great lens, any thoughts on the purchase and the lens combo before I go and do it.

I have the 18-200mm. I LOVE that lens. It's my "walk around" lens, which I use whenever my 70-200mm f/2.8 isn't needed. You'll definitely like it.

I'm having some difficulty finding a 18-200 kit so I may be settling on the 135 out of choice
