Nikon 300 mm f/4.5 AIS lens and Radiation Question

Hi folks,

I just purchased a Nikon 300 mm lens for a $100.0o on eBay. It is an older manual focus lens and I got it at a good price. Just watched a couple of videos of YouTube about older Nikon lenses possibly having radiation. Does anyone know if this radiation is harmful to the photographer?

Not many models had thorium glass. Never heard of it in any Nikkor 300s. The 35mm f/1.4 had thorium glass in some versions. I had one for a very short while in 2002.
