Nikon 50mm lens question

just yesterday I bought used 50mm 1.8 AF-D ,for my d5000,
And i must tell you manual focus is not that hard as ppl think I have nikkor 1.4 also (see signature ) but this 1.8 is way to quick to manual focus , yes you won't me able to do in nano sec. but yes 5 to 6 sec only,
other wise buy 1.4 AF-S

I have the 50mm 1.8 along with the Nikon D3100. You will have to manually focus because the lens do not have a built in motor. I got my 50mm used for $80 because I was cheap and didn't want to shell out $300+ on the 1.4 or $100 on a new 1.8 . So far, I have not seen any issues with my 50mm. That being said, if you have the money, go for the 1.4.
