Hi

I purchased an S2. But the quality of pictures in low light and at night are TERRIBLE. They are blurry and streaky.

I've been told it may be the shutter speed. But I cannot alter it on the S2.

Can anyone reccommend an alternative camera that can take good pics at night and in low light.

Rgds,.

If you're using any camera at night / low light conditions, then a slower shutter speed will be required. If you try to hand-hold your camera during this, it will always end up blurry / streaky, as your hand shakes slightly during the exposure.

Rather than shell out for a new camera (which would still suffer from camera-shake during long exposures), you could consider buying a tripod to support your S2 - this would allow you to use any length of exposure without suffering from camera-shake.
