Nikon D-40 filters

Searched, to no avail.
Where do you "guys" normally
buy your filters?
Have D-40 on the way from
Adorama and ordered a used filter
to protect the lens til I decide
what to get.
Like what I see with polarized ones.
Will be shooting alot of different things. Outdoors mostly.
Is there a list describing them?
You're preferences?

Filters are not specific to cameras. Just make sure to get filters that will fit the thread diameter of the lens that you will be using.

I really only use polarizer filters these days. Most of the other filters are much easier to duplicate with Photoshop (or other software).

as has been said, filters are fitted to each lens (diameters can be different from lens to lens). so if you're searching on amazon, for instance, you would search "58mm(diamter) circular polarizer"
