Aloha all:

I recently was given my Dad's old Nikon N40 35mm camera and in it is some film. However, there's no battery in it. So I am wondering if (1) what battery can I get for it or (2) if there's a way to manually retract the film into the canister so I can get it developed.

EDIT: I was going off memory and did some deeper google searching and in looking at the Nikon history, good chance it's a F50 (N50) according to Our Product History: 1990's | Information | Nikon Consumer

I've tried a google search and all I get are D40 batteries. If the batteries for the digital version are compatible with the 35mm version than great! I had a D40 (ex has it now) and I know that the lenses were interchangeable as Mom found the extra lenses Dad had before she found the body of the camera.

I realize that after who knows how long the film was has been in the camera that development may be a bit of a crap shoot, but not worried about that.

Thanks in adavance, and please, only constructive comments or suggestions.

Rob
