Other than for my taste it's cropped a little too tight, it's a great image IMHO

the black line running down her cheek I don't think I like. not sure if it is hair or processing but it kind of outlines the side of her cheek. Light spot at the end of her eyebrow. And funky transition to from the head to the shoulders where it goes real oddly shades of pale and goes into her hair too..

I don't think I like this one at all.

actually it looks like something happened to her eyelashes too and she is missing a quarter inch of them under each eye on the bottom side. And the sides of her nose look swollen

missed a little with the lipstick too it isn't defined and smeared. you probably had enough of cc from me at this point. I don't think you did her justice in this one. like anything take it with a grain of salt where its coming from..

The out of focus bangs (or whatever they are called) bother me, and I'm not really a fan of the "flyaway" hairs crossing over her eye and face; I do see what you were going for though.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if I didn't want it, I'd not post here

What I get from your feedback is the edit is ok but her MU has issues. Not my department and not much (ok maybe something) I can do but again, I know nothing about how MU is supposed to look. The hair, I'm on the fence, some like that look, some don't.

Well, she's gorgeous. I love the colors of this. The only things I can honestly nitpick here are the OOF hair like already mentioned.. the dark spot on cheek and then something about the way her hair is parted and there being more on the one side of the frame and not filling the frame on the other makes me like triple take whether or not she is dead center, just slightly off or what and that kinda bugs me. Still a really beautiful image IMO though. I can't see anyone but a bunch of us critiquing for the sake of critiquing having much to say on this.

the hair isn't bad. the highlights a little overdone. You caught some of the friz on the camera looks a little like my wifes did when she killed it with some treatment. totally out of your control. It is cut off in the top of the frame, which could be good in this case. Im not a hair stylist by any means. Usually the good ones seem to match the style with the head and face shape. in this case it appears a longer face so going too high with the hair and thin on the sides with it might over accentuate the facial shape. Again not doing a pretty woman justice. something to consider. could be fine but it crossed my mind. two cents salt yada yada

I grew up with very vain sisters and lots of glamour and cosmopolitan. :mrgreen: maybe it rubbed off

The make Up issues is hard to see in a viewfinder and it's not like missing the big oak tree growing out someones head and no fault of yours.I think your edit is very nice and the crop works for me. The catch light in the eyes is fantastic,I actually think I see you.The shallow DOF plants my eyes right in hers and where it should be IMO. Most of the issues I see is on her not you. Great job trevor and as always love your work and your models.

I would watch out for messy mascara (it may even be a good idea for you to go out and purchase a nice bottle of MAC mascara for your models to use; just remember to wash the brush every time a model uses it), and if you don't catch it at the moment of exposure try taking some time to clean the mascara up in photoshop. As for the line on her cheak, it's called a contour line, and it's a makeup technique that is meant to accentuate the model's cheek bones. I think it looks decent, however it could be softened a little in post. Another thing you may want to look into is makeup contouring tutorials in photoshop.
