Help me people!

As a photographer I am still starting out really. I've just finished my first year of it at college and have decided to go on with it further, at an art university or something like that. So nows the time for me to get my own SLR, and i'm on a bit of a budget.

I've been reading up on the Nikon F75 and it sounds perfect for my needs. I want a camera that allows me creativity, (I was previously using my dad's old Canon, which was too "automatic" ideally)but at the same time i'm no expert just yet, so i'm guessing a highly sophisticated model is going to leave me slightly out of my depth. The F75 seems to fit the bill, plus its affordable. Do you guys agree? Or is there another alternative you could recommend?

Any advice would be gratefully received!
Cheers, MAc :D

I think it will take care of all your needs, but don't forget about the manual metering mode. This is the best learning tool on any camera.
