I think it is great fun that with digital photography you can now produce instant abstract art with a few clicks on the keyboard but I do miss the smell of oil paint.

I was never allowed to use oil paints - made to much of a mess! Not really, but I did always find it a lot of work. Got into Prism Colored pencils for awhile.

While there are some editing functions post that can enhance a digital image, it's possible to create most of an abstract piece in camera. I've been doing a lot of zoom and pull images lately ( Digital Deconstruction ) . Almost all of this was in camera.
