I looked at the wristband's text...looks like the focus is okay...but it looks like a longer focal length shot at just a tiny,tiny bit too slow of a shutter speed; I've gotten this a lot with the 70-300 VR at like 1/250-ish to 1/400 or so...especially on hurried types of grab shots, where the camera is swung rapidly and the shots are just Snapped! Her head and face seem to have ever so slight motion blurring when seen at full size. It's interesting this was brought up by MK3Brent, because you know, this kind of result is ALSO what leaving the VR system ON at fast speeds looks like...it's sort of like out of focus, yet the focus distance is "on", as you can tell by looking at small details, and yet, there's a really weird "look" especially in bright lighting situations.

I am on my old computer which has no EXIF reader that's handy, but this shot might be worth looking at in terms of the idea of missed focus/camera movement/VR or IS artifacting.
