The background is just as important as the foreground in all of these sailboat photos, yours included...

The top spire of the Empire State Building and the sail both work together...somewhat. Maybe the sail a little further to the right in the photo.
I love the tall buildings of NYC as a backdrop.
The muted clouds in the backround do not distract from the sailboat in the foreground.
