Met up with a Army buddy of mine to catch up so I brought my camera and got some pictures of Manhattan. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Park in front of City Hall 6. 7. 8. This one came out fuzzy I wasnt patient enough to raise the ISO so I that I could shoot with a faster shutter speed. This dude had a player type thing (in his left hand) that played different robot noises and comments when he pushed different buttons it was really cool. Taken at South Street Seaport. 9. You guys going to NYC for that meet up are going to love it. Ill put in some extra study time this week hopefully ill meet my standard so I can come meet up with you guys on Saturday.
Lots of architecture today! 7 is my favorite, 1 probably would be if the sky wasn't blown out though.
I like 7, 9 is my favorite. I can't beleive I've only been there once; remind me to go more often. -Will
thx for the comments. Here is my first attempt at HDR off that first picture. Its not very good compare to others. Im not really sure how to do it because the photomatix I have doesnt put the pictures together to well. I dont know Ill figure it out eventually.
I like them. number nine is tits... like it a lot. the others remind me of getting drunk in Pittsburgh with my buddie and we would take turns driving each other around in the bed of my truck... staring up at the buildings...
Gotta say I really like the HDR version there. The reflections of the other building and clouds add a lot of character to the shot.
I really like the last one! These make we want to take out my New York-DVD again and look at my photos from last April. New York was such an inspiration and time was so incredibly short (and hubby so impatient with me ever so often), I wish I could explore that particular city much, much more. (But I don't even get into Hamburg, so what is all this whining?) How did you create that HDR, Philip? Did you use one RAW file and change things with that one to later have them put together by Photomatix?
If you ever get a chance to come back to NYC message me It would be great to learn from some people with more experience in photography. Yes since I dont have a tripod to get the same picture after changing the settings I used a single RAW to get that HDR. I was not actually planning for any HDRs anyway I just thought it might be fun to finally try it out. Im sure of all the pictures I took there were better ones to try it with but this one was there so I picked it. Ive tried other pictures but they come out horribly ugly maybe its because I have a older version of photomatix (or I just really suck at this). Thx again. ----- On another note I looked at my pictures from another PC and all my pictures and all the whites in all my pictures are grossly bown out but from my laptop I can see a lot more detail and the pictures are so much darker. When you guys look at my pictures do they look extremely over exposed? ---- This is an example of a picture that I can see fine on my laptop the clouds on the right are blown out a bit but I could see some small details, but on the desktop I saw them in the right side was blown out and there was very little detail.
