More nice shots, been busy lately?

Once again, you nailed the colors. Awesome.

Was it a full moon reflecting off the roof on #2?

You are correct !! It was the last full moon that we had.

Thanks!

very nice, sir. particularly like the second one - the stars are awesome, and the exposure is a little better.

awesome photos!! the second one is my favorite.

Very Nice! I'm kinda curious about the specs of the pics.

for the hell of it, I wanna guess. Thor, let me know how close/far I am

you're shooting canon. so iso 100. F11, 13 seconds on the top. 20 seconds on the bottom, F16. no exif check - I promise.

Thanks again,

I'm not at my computer and I can't look up my exif on the iPhone.
I'm thinking you are very close except I'm thinking closer to F11 on the second shot. Feel free to check, if not I'll post it in the morning!

ok, here are the specs

I just realized what i was doing that night. My shutter release cable was in my wifes car so I had to stick with 30 seconds or less.

first shot is
Exposure: 25 sec (25) Aperture: f/8 Focal Length: 23 mm ISO Speed: 400

second shot is
Exposure: 30 sec (30) Aperture: f/8 Focal Length: 21 mm ISO Speed: 400

reason for such long exposures @ 400 iso, (which would have ususally been like a iso 100 2.5 minute shot is is was very dark with only the moon.

I like the second shot better but in general, shots like this work really well for me in portrait. They highlight the effect of a deep and distant sky and make the night look all the more overwhelming. I love the sprinkling of stars in the second capture.

haha, oh I was way off.
