Oh, Deer! ....... (spooked)

This really might be better suited for the Just For Fun gallery, but hey, what the heck.

I had been clicking away at the does, when a one antlered buck came up. The does were wary of me but kept on foraging. However, the buck wasn't having any of it and soon they all split for the trees.

I'll have to see later if any of the others are worth messing with.

Nice captures. The action in #2 is very cool, but honestly I like the first one. I like the way the two are running away in the background, which frames the brave guy standing his ground. It's kind of heroic looking, like he's defending them

Dmitri is having MY thoughts! The frame created by the two already on their way into the woods, their "synchronised jumping", and the very good focus on the one that kept grazing for yet another moment make the first a brilliant photo in my eyes. Maybe a somewhat closer crop might even enhance this effect?

Niiiiiiice captures! I agree with the comments that have been made about the first shot, but there's something about the way the deer is 'flying' in the second one that's very appealing as well (lookit the height it got!)
