The little Methodist church in my neighborhood has a rose garden. I stopped on my walk this afternoon. It is nearly spent for the season, but I found two blooms still looking fresh. I tacked on some appropriate music at the bottom along with the text.

'Tis the last rose of summer,
Left blooming alone;
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone;
No flower of her kindred,
No rosebud is nigh,
To reflect back her blushes,
Or give sigh for sigh.

I'll not leave thee, thou lone one!
To pine on the stem;
Since the lovely are sleeping,
Go, sleep thou with them.
Thus kindly I scatter,
Thy leaves o'er the bed,
Where thy mates of the garden
Lie scentless and dead.

So soon may I follow,
When friendships decay,
And from Love's shining circle
The gems drop away.
When true hearts lie withered,
And fond ones are flown,
Oh! who would inhabit
This bleak world alone?

Not sure about the video or the poetry - beyond my "expertise to comment on - but the images of the roses are great - sharp, good colour and great bokeh.

Thanks, Glad you liked them. I've always loved roses. They do bloom right up to the first frost which should arrive any day now.

The tune I've known all my life but I'd always heard it sung in German (thankfully). As for the morose Irish poetry, well I have to assume it's sentiment was inspired by more than one pint of Guinness --damn Irish cryin' in their beer.
