When I take a shot outside when the sky is blue with spotted white clouds my pictures come out with the sky all white? What do you think is causing the other than opperator error?
Can anyone explane how to do that with a D40? I thought I heard there is a button you push while pointing at the sky but I am not sure which one? Thanks
It's Auto White Balance. The camera is taking the blue sky, and evaluating to be 16% grey, and adjusting everything accordingly. Look up WB in your manual, or Google it. Set it manually. Buy a grey card, set your WB, and you'll be fine.
