Thanks for lookin' : )

What a darling! You caught a great moment. :D
Okay, the subject is perfect, so... ;)

To my eye, there's way too much black. I also find the light a bit too harsh/direct for the little cutie. It gives me the impression of a small light source close to the subject. I think more diffuse light would go a long way. Maybe a stronger light but behind a white shower curtain or bounced off of some foam core. Her eyes are also lost in shadow. A reflector would help even that out.

I tried a crop to lose some of that black and used a masked layer for a curve adjustment on her eyes. It needs more tweaking, but that shows the idea anyway. I also adding +15 red and +5 green with a color adjustment. Don't know if that really helped or not, but it looks nice on my monitor.

Thanks so much Mark you have been very helpful with your suggestions and I like your adjustments!

Actually a grandmother of 4....ages 9,8,5,4! But I don't every really intend on growing up so that's probably what comes across ;)

Thanks again!

It's the eyes that trouble me the most. They need a bit more life. I softened the shadows underneath and tried to add a bit of spark.

Pete

She's a cutie. Pete's edit really helps to bring out her eyes.
