Photos NOT OK to edit
I went out the other day and photographed the Atalaya Castle in Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet, SC with my trusty 1969 Nikon FTN and 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor S and 28mm f/3.5 Nikkor H on Tri-X. Even after 50 years both of these lenses still deliver.

Yeah, quality glass is quality glass.

I have old Nikkor lenses and noticed they excel for B&W photos too. Their slight curvature of field adds character to the photos and chromatic aberrations of old lenses are not a problem in B&W like they can be with color.

Shots like these always amuse me as counter-evidence against the tiresome belief that the verdict is in on Nikkor "dogs and stars." Internet echo chambers pretend opinion is settled, particularly among people who've never owned or shot a particular lens. Truly amazing how those crappy old lenses allow such nice b&w work!
