Ether it has come really bad compression from being posted online or its out of focus. I'm leaning more to the latter.

Processing got hammering. No one said anything about the picture. It is soft or not very sharp, but not out of focus. Nevertheless it is interesting subject, old, out of use, dumped in the corner range. I just have another question (disregarding the PP issues :wink:

). To me the picture is quite flat, what kind of light did you use ? The wall underneath that stove has better lighting then above it and overall the feel of 3D is not very strong. The other thing is, maybe not possible due to limited space, that front legs escaped the frame. Did you try another angles to ?

I'm a private building inspector. I work for people who are buying residential and commercial properties. They hire me to do a structural and mechanical analysis of the building. Taking hundreds of pictures during an inspection is the norm. I use a $90 point and shoot camera. I try to steal shots of things that look cool but I have to do it quickly. My clients are sometimes next to me and I can't let on that I am doing this for my own personal enjoyment. Sometimes I have to bypass awesome subjects because I am "working." Sometimes my quick on the sly artsy shots are good to OK, and most of the time neither.
