Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Living in Montana can be crazy at times, especially given the weather and roads. In this case, I got my car stuck in three feet of snow three miles from the nearest house and while on the trek to seek help getting unstuck came across this old schoolhouse. I really didn't have a lot of time to explore given the ever decreasing daylight. However, I did man a few "point and shoot" photographs that I could then edit later. After looking through them, I realize the need to go back to that same spot and get better ones. However, I did manage one that I liked and edited. I'd love angle suggestions and ideas for when I go back. There is a relatively modern looking historic sign that gives the name of the school and dates in which it was used which is how I got them.

I like the shot, not sure about the tone but it works ok. Always good to find something positive in an otherwise inopportune situation ;)

This is a nice shot. I think it would have more "punch" if you were to shoot it at a different time of day (maybe early morning?), with more dramatic natural light & less tree shadows hitting the front of the building.

Not sure if you want to go back and risk getting stuck again though :)

Yeah the part of the road I was stuck on was forest service roads. I'm relatively new to the area and was out "exploring". Thank God some random snow mobilers(one who was a tow truck driver) came by and gave me a free tow using their trucks. I was about a mile in and stuck in 3 feet of snow. Stupid on my part but I was mesmerized by the surrounding area. I'm hoping to go back after this next snow storm when the road is plowed and get a shot using morning light. Hopefully given the really cold temps and snow, we will have a really cool landscape around it. Will post when I get it.

Not bad, but as already stated, different lighting might make it much much better.

Jake

Hahaha! I totally understand the "exploring" bit! One time I managed to drive my jeep directly into a 3-4 foot deep pit in the middle of an empty field. The worst part about it was that I knew that it was there. How embarassing........ It took 3 tow trucks and a heck of alot of cash bribes to get me back out again.

Looking forward to seeing the results of your re-shoot!
