I think the color looks good, but I don't know what the flower looked like originally.

haha, the softer side of mike . . . hmm am i brave enough to do that? i doubt it.

i lit this with an sb-800 shooting up into the backside of it. it was 5 inches from the flower, that was in the shade. i then did a curve adjustment layer and painted out some of the other stuff (like where it said nikon on my flash)

Cool. I don't have a flash I can use off-camera, but I might try a similar technique. Very cool effect!

you can also do it at night with a flash light, and us do like a 30 second exposure.
