Only 10 to 11 feet long. Hmmm, just a little fellow, regardless, they can still be dangerous. I remember a story about a photographer at the Viera wetlands (now Rich Grissom Memorial wetlands) who was sitting on a bank shooting a duck that was only a few feet away when a 'gator came up out of the water, grabbed the duck and was gone in less than seconds. He said the 'gator was only about 10 feet long.
That looks big enough to eat any of us, or at least to try, and the attempt, even if unsuccessful, would be most unpleasant. Good that it was going away from you.
