cool I like it, those patterns are great. Would also like to see a close up of the dye.

Although that shadow on the back drop is distracting.

i agree with spacefuzz. the shadow seems out of place to me, it takes away from the awesomeness in the glass. also, the stem of the glass seems a little too dark. lastly, i would get rid of the border and vignette.

i know that was a good amount of critique, but i really do like this photo. very nice.

how was your shot setup? direct flash? soft boxes? umbrellas? continuous lights?

maybe pull the glass away from the background a little more and use a little more shallow DOF.

For me, the shadow is part of what makes the photo interesting. Without the shadow, its just going to be a picture of a glass.

I think it is a good photo, but there is too much going on in it. I'm not actually sure what I'm supposed to be looking at. Is it the dye? Or is it the glass and its shadow? And then there are the borders. it's a bit of a mess. In my opinion you should lose either the dye or the shadow. Make it less overwhelming for the viewer. I would obviously lose the shadow and make the dye the focus point of the picture. Yeah, and the borders should be ditched.

These are only my two cents and at the end of the day you should follow your own vision.
