I wanted to try another shot at ISO 3,200 with my new Sony A500, this time in black/white, and here's the result. When I was standing out in the cold wind I totally forgot to try ISO 6,400. Next time for sure!

He still sleeps directly below our living room window every night, even during our big snowstorm. Seems healthy enough; I suppose because he has devoured almost our entire front lawn! No sign of his mom, or any other caribou for that matter. Perhaps he's just plain lost? I just talked to a friend in nearby Joe Batt's Arm, and he has 60 caribou in his front yard!!

wow, with that iso and is that clear....?!
The picture looks amazing. Great job!

It looks good for that high of an iso, but on an all white photo most cameras will. Noise shows up the most on dark parts of a photo, especially underexposed parts.

The noise is stilll evident in this photo however, check out the top right third of the frame. Very distinguishable noise.

Not saying it's bad. It's better than average for high iso, but it's not a fair test due to the color of the subject matter.
