Yep, you know those days that your list of things that you SHOULD be doing is longer than your arm but the only thing your arm is interested in doing is picking up the camera...
Today is doomed!
So what kind of day is it for you?

Unfortunately for me, it's a day when all the things on my to-do list are going to have to go undone, because my back has other plans.
It's been bothering me, a little, for days--yesterday, I did a LOT of walking with my camera bag, a lot of bending, kneeling, etc--taking pictures of the local Veterans' Day parade. My back decided that was it, and has now completely seized up.

So, I guess I'm gonna be lying around doing nothing but watching football all day , although I still have hopes of sitting up long enough to process at least a few of the parade photos. Plus, I've got a dish I have to make for an event tomorrow--I may have to talk my son into making that, though--sitting up a little for a while is doable; actually standing up and walking around, not so much.

I was on shift thursday...we ran all day AND all night. slept a good chunk of friday. got NOTHING done. attempting to make up for it today, which is not starting out too great.

Ah the "meh" day, familiar with that one!

Shift work is brutal, Mr. Rabbit works weird shifts a lot, right now 4 days 2 off 4 nights which is one of the easier ones. Shift work sure messes with your gumption to get anything done on the two off.

For me right now, I mentioned a while back about working with a fellow doing posters for a small political party, well everything was on hold while we both got our ducks in a row. Well, all of my ducks lined up suddenly lol so now I have to get organized to give this a go. I have to set up the new computer with all of my software etc... and I have to do a couple samples and and and.... lol
Aaaand, I have my wifey duties, dishes, dinner, empty the wood stove and and and...
And it is foggy outside....

Another forum I haunt had a bunch of regional unofficial, informal Meet & Greets across the country. My travels took me to three.... Denver, Dallas and Minneapolis. It was fun putting a voice and face to the usernames.

I've done that in several of my other interests - if I have an opportunity to travel somewhere, and I know I have time to spare, then I'll look up whoever I know is in the area and see if we can arrange a meeting. Most of the time, I have enjoyed meeting the people behind the user names. There have been, however a couple of times when the person in reality was quite different from the persona presented on the forums. In retrospect, you learn that you have to be able to read between the lines, so to speak. On the other hand, the people who truly know their stuff are usually surprisingly humble and non-dogmatic.

I too would like to meet other people with the same interest. I feel like I am the only one around within miles that owns a camera. I did see a person walking with a camera and tripod on a uptown street this morning, but I couldn't stop and talk. I don't know what the person was going to shoot but looking around the area it was in, I didn't see anything worth thinking about.
If it was within a days drive, I would be interested in a meeting.

Had things to do, but decided photography was more important and left the house just after sunrise to roam around South Philly & Center City. Had some coffee and dessert along the way and enjoyed myself thoroughly. Got back about a half hour ago and I'm set to process and post!
